July 2026 Newsletter
Can you believe we’ve already had one month of summer session? Time flies when you’re having fun!
A few important updates as we head into July:
- 🍂 The fall 2026 schedule is now available! View classes here. Fall enrollment opens Monday, July 20. Fall session begins Monday, August 24. In-class evaluations will take place the week of July 13, so watch for eval sheets to come home after class. Your coach will let you know which level is the best fit for your athlete next session.
- 🎆 We are closed July 3-5 for the holiday weekend. Regular summer classes resume Monday, July 6.
- 🍕 Pizza Fun Night is Friday, July 17! This is our ONLY Pizza Fun Night of the summer. Call us at 217.224.8491 or stop in to reserve your spot.
- 🏆 We are now home to the 2026 USTA Advanced Team National Champions! We could not be more proud of this group. Read the full results here.

Four More Summer Skill Clinics Available
Clinics are a great way to dedicate focused attention on a particular skill with Gem City’s deep knowledge pool. We’re offering six clinics this summer with each focused on a particular skill.
Sign Up for Gem City’s Only Pizza Fun Night of the Summer— July 17
Our next Pizza Fun Night is on Friday, July 17, starting at 6:30pm. Open to ages 5 to 13. Members $25, Non-members $30. You must pre-register by Thursday, July 16 for the event by calling or stopping in at the Pro Shop
Get Your Order in Today: 20th Anniversary T-shirts & Leotard!
TODAY, July 1, is the order deadline for both our anniversary t-shirts and our commemorative leotard. The next (and final!) deadline for both will be October 1. Stop in or call the Pro Shop to place your order and help us celebrate 20 years!

Preschool Playtime Continues During Summer
Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to burn energy, build coordination, and explore the gym in a safe, fun space. PP is every Wednesday morning 9:30-11:30am, ages six and under, only $9 per child.
