June 2026 Newsletter
Hello summer session families, and welcome back to the gym! We are so glad to be kicking off a whole summer of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer. A special welcome to all the new athletes joining us this session!
A few things to know if you’re new:
- For any questions about the gym, your class, or the online portal, Becky in the front office is your go-to.
- If you have a question about your child’s class, feel free to ask their coach at dismissal.
- Our Pro Shop carries snacks, water, leotards, and Gem City t-shirts and sweatshirts.
- We have a water bottle refill station on our water fountain. Bring your own bottle and enjoy cold, filtered water at no charge!
- We suggest your child use the restroom before class and wash hands before and after.
- Parents are welcome to watch from inside the gym or wait in the lobby. Parents are not required to stay, but we do ask that parents of preschool-age children remain on the premises.
Summer tuition is due on the day of your first class. If payment is not made by 8 pm on that day, our office will automatically charge the card on file and a late fee will be added. Save yourself the fee by initiating your own payment first!
Summer enrollment is still open, and we have class openings available. Find our class schedule here. If you are starting late, we pro rate tuition so you are only paying for the classes you attend. Don’t see what you need? We are always happy to book private classes, private lessons, small groups, or clinics to fit your schedule. Just reach out!
We are also thrilled to announce that 24 Gem City tumblers are headed to the 2026 USTA National Championships the week of June 15! We could not be more proud of this group. Read more here.

Summer Skill Clinics
Clinics are a great way to dedicate focused attention on a particular skill with Gem City’s deep knowledge pool. We’re offering six clinics this summer with each focused on a particular skill.
July Pizza Fun Night
Our next Pizza Fun Night is on Friday, July 17, starting at 6:30pm. Open to ages 5 to 13. Members $25, Non-members $30. You must pre-register by Thursday, July 16 for the event by calling or stopping in at the Pro Shop
Last Good Grades Drawing of the Year!
Our 4th Quarter Good Grades Drawing is Wednesday, June 17. Good luck to all participants! Read about our most recent winner.
Don’t forget about our 20th Anniversary t-shirts!
Stop in or call to place your order for the next batch. Shirts are available in youth and toddler ($28.99) and adult ($33.99) sizes in two designs. Help us celebrate two decades! The next order deadline is July 1.
New Squad Alert!
THANK YOU to all the brave young ladies that showed up for all-star cheer tryouts on May 9. It’s not easy trying something new. Our coaches had many hard decisions to make. We are excited to have so many that are excited for the season ahead! Introducing the 2026-2027 All-Star Squads!

GCGT 20th Anniversary Leotard Available
Call the gym or stop into the Pro Shop to order your commemorative leotard celebrating Gem City’s 20 years of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer! The next order deadline is July 1. Leotards are made by Garland and are $69.99.

Scheduled Break
Gem City’s next scheduled break will be July 3-5. Classes start again on July 6. Please find a schedule of all breaks here.
Military Discount Reminder
All active military and veteran families receive a 100% discount on our $55 annual family registration fee. We’re honored to serve those who serve!
Preschool Playtime Continues During Summer
Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to burn energy, build coordination, and explore the gym in a safe, fun space. PP is every Wednesday morning 9:30-11:30am, ages six and under, only $9 per child.
We’re Celebrating Our Seniors!
A few weeks ago we had the chance to celebrate our senior team members and employees. We are so honored to have worked alongside all seven of these young women over the years. Some of them have been in this gym nearly their entire lives. Happy graduation! We are all so proud of you!
