Gem City is proud to announce that we are participating in the 2019 Souper Bowl of Caring! The local charities benefiting directly from donations are: Quanada, Horizons Social Services, Luther Memorial Church, Quincy IL, Lutheran Church of St. John, and Quincy Catholic Charities. Collection bins will be available in our lobby January 15 – February 4.
The gym is closed on Tuesday, January 15 for all classes and team practices. Our policy states that when Quincy Public Schools close due to bad weather we also close.
Our gym held a Giving Tuesday donation event with our Team athletes. We are trying to encourage a thoughtful mind and a giving heart this holiday season. We handed out letters encouraging our Team athletes to choose an organization, donate $1-$5 of their own money, and then write us a letter telling us why they chose that particular organization. The gym then matched up to $5 for each donation. The more our kids see giving the more likely they are to give themselves. Whether they give of their money, their time, or their resources, we are thankful to have such generosity in our youth.
Due to school closings, we will have no classes or practices on Monday, November 26. Please be safe and stay warm!
This applies to all recreational classes and practices of competitive teams. Regular session classes will resume on Tuesday.
Gem City is closed from November 21 to 25.
Please note that there is no need for make-up classes for scheduled closings as they are already factored into the pricing of the session. These scheduled breaks apply to all recreational classes and practices of competitive teams unless otherwise noted.
You can find all of Gem City’s scheduled breaks listed here.

Gem City and Quanada have teamed up again this winter season to collect lightly-used coats, hats, gloves, and other winter outwear items during November and December.
You can place donations in the plastic bins in the Gem City lobby during business hours.
Gem City will hold its Winter Wonderland Pizza Fun Night on Friday, December 7 from 6:30-9:30 pm.
Pizza fun nights are a great opportunity for kids to play games, have open gym time, eat pizza, drink soda, and have fun with their friends! It’s a great chance for parents to have a night out too.
We’re closed on Wednesday, October 31. Stay safe and warm. Happy Halloween!
Gem City will hold its annual Halloween themed Pizza Fun Night on Friday, October 26 from 6:30-9:30 pm. This Pizza Fun Night is special because it’s when our annual costume contest will happen! The costume contest will happen first, so bring a change of clothes if you can’t play comfortably in your costume!
The event costs only $13 for members and $16 for non-members. Any child age 4 or older is welcome! Kids get to play games, experience open gym time, eat pizza, drink soda, and have fun with their friends!
