May is here! As we wind down to the end of our spring session, we have a few things to share.
Here are some big results! We are thrilled to be the home of the Second Place Cheer Squad from the US Finals National Championships that were held in Myrtle Beach last month! Here’s a blog all about it. Our senior all-star squad, which are Level 2 Elite, earned SILVER at the National Championships! Read about their success here. Gem City’s tumblers left State Championships with 7 Champions, 33 National Qualifiers. Get the details here.
Summer enrollment is underway! If you haven’t called or stopped in to reserve your spot, check out our class schedule then get ahold of us soon! There are less than three weeks before our break. Summer schedule begins Thursday, May 29! Summer tuition isn’t due until your first day of class.
Theme week ahead! The last week of classes (May 12-17) we want to see some local love. Whether it’s your GCGT t-shirt or any other business’s shirt from the tri-state area, let’s show support for all those places we love so much! We’ll try to get as many pictures as possible of all the businesses represented so that we can show our gym village the great places that our patrons support!

Important Dates
- Scheduled Break: Sunday, May 18 – Wednesday, May 28 is our annual May gym break.
- We will be open for parties and Preschool Playtime during this break, but no classes.
- Preschool Playtime: We WILL still be hosting Preschool Playtime May 21 & May 28.
- Summer Session: Starts Thursday, May 29 for 10 weeks, ending Friday, August 8
- First Open Gym of Summer: Monday, June 16, 12-2pm

June Daytime Open Gym
Gem City’s next Daytime Open Gym is Monday, June 16 from 12-2pm. Ages 4-12. $18 for members & $21 for nonmembers. Popsicles will be provided as a free snack during this Open Gym! Call or stop in to reserve your spot!
Athletes Thriving in the Classroom
The next Good Grades Drawing will be on June 18. Just bring in a copy of your grade card to enter to win ANYTHING in our Pro Shop for FREE!

Collab with the Quincy Children’s Museum
We’ve partnered with QCM for their next feature exhibit, Tumble Time! The exhibit will be for three months, so you can visit the rest of spring and even half of the summer! Follow our social media and the museum’s social media to know when the exhibit is available!
Illness Policy for the Month
If your child did not attend school due to illness, we ask that you also refrain from attending class or practice at Gem City the same evening. We ask that athletes be fever free for 24 hours before coming to class.
Also, please have your athlete wash their hands before and after class.
Coffee + Friend + Preschool Playtime
Come and go as you please during our Preschool Playtime (PP). Several parents have told us they love using the time to meet with a friend while the kids play. PP is every Wednesday morning 9:30-11:30am, ages six and under, only $9 per child.
