Congrats to Madison Spears, our final winner of the 2023-2024 Good Grades Quarterly Drawings! Madison attends Gem City’s gymnastics classes and is a 6th grader.
Most people have heard of us and lots of people know of some of the little extras that we have here at the gym. But we’re here to give you a list of the little extras that we have here at our facility!
The GCGT Tumbling Team competed in the 2024 USTA National Championships this past week. We had four days of competition over the six days of the event. We had 22 athletes attend after having 27 qualify at the State meet earlier in April.
What a way to start summer! We’re proud to have won the Small Business of the Month Award from Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.
Clinics are a great way to dedicate focused attention on a particular skill with Gem City’s deep knowledge pool. This is why we’re excited this summer to offer six, one-hour clinics for athletes between the ages of 6-18.
Come learn with us whether you’re an all-star cheer veteran, want some extra practice time, or you’ve never done anything “cheer” in your life!
Troy Lucas loved this gym and the people in it. His weekly lesson became a part of his routine that helped him become more social, more brave, more talkative, and less inhibited by his own differing abilities.

We’re in the last week of spring session classes with the last day of classes being THIS Saturday, May 11! If you haven’t yet reserved your spot for the summer session, then give us a call THIS week to secure your spot.
The gym will be closed May 12-28. There will be NO Preschool Playtime Wednesday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 22. PP starts back up Wednesday, May 29.

The results of the USTA Southern IL State Championships are impressive: 4 State Champions, 15 top three finishes, and 27 of the 28 tumblers competing qualified for Nationals.
in Tumbling
Athletes from Gem City’s Level 7 and 8 Gymnastics Team competed at USAG Region 5 Regionals in Dayton, Ohio on April 20! The athletes qualified for Regionals after competing and advancing at State Championships.

Gem City’s All-Star Squads competed at the US FINALS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS on April 13, and we are so proud of both squads! 🎉
in Cheer
Congrats to Maralea Stapp, the final winner of Good Grades Quarterly Drawing for the 2023-2024 schoool year! Maralea is in Gem City’s Prep Tumbling class and a student at Baldwin School.
This is such an exciting month for Gem City! We’re prepping for summer session and our athletes are wrapping up their competitive seasons with state, regional, and national championships.
