Gem City’s Gymnastics Team traveled to Collinsville, Illinois for the Metro Arch Classic, held February 6–7. The weekend proved to be a successful one, filled with strong performances, numerous top-10 finishes, and several State-qualifying scores.

Each month, we highlight a Gem City athlete whose dedication, mindset, and work ethic stand out on and off the competition floor. This month, we’re recognizing an athlete who brings intensity, discipline, and heart to every practice. Our Athlete of the Month is Ryli Zahringer.
We’ve officially started month two of our 20TH YEAR AS GEM CITY! Last month we debuted our new anniversary logo, and this month we’re excited to offer two anniversary t-shirts that we’ll have for sale this year!
Gem City Cheer had an incredible showing at the MCDA Arch Madness competition in Collinsville, Illinois, held January 31–February 1. Both all-star squads brought home championship titles, earning two first-place finishes and making it a weekend to remember.
The Gem City Gymnastics Team traveled to Bourbonnais, Illinois for the King Arthur Classic, held January 23–25. Competing against teams from across the region, Gem City athletes delivered another weekend of confident routines, top-10 finishes, and steady progress as the season continues to build momentum.
The Gem City Tumbling Team competed at the Winter Wonderland Invitational in Decatur, Illinois on Sunday, January 25, and it was a memorable day for athletes and families alike.

Hey all, it’s Coach Katie again. Each month, we recognize a Gem City athlete who shows dedication, growth, and a love for the sport both inside and outside the gym. For January, our coaches selected an athlete who leads quietly, works hard, and brings a great attitude to every practice. Our January Athlete of the Month is Ella Hockman.
Welcome back as we start the Spring Session, and we hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! This year is a milestone year for Gem City that marks our 20th anniversary!
The Gem City Gymnastics team braved cold weather and officially opened the 2025 competition season at the Crossroad Classic, held December 12–14 in Bloomington, Illinois. This first meet of the season brought strong performances across all levels, with numerous top-10 event finishes and two team awards highlighting a great start to the year.
The gym will be closed for Christmas from Sunday, December 21 to Sunday, January 4. Classes start again on Monday, January 5.
Gem City Cheer kicked off the season in unforgettable fashion at their first competition of the year in Des Moines. Both of our all-star squads brought home first-place finishes, setting the tone for an exciting season ahead!

This month, our Level 1 Elite Youth cheer coaches came together to recognize someone who embodies all of those things. Our December Athlete of the Month is Charleigh Jackson.
The Gem City Tumbling Team kept their momentum going with a strong second competition of the season in Flora, Illinois on December 7. Twelve GCGT athletes represented the team, and they turned in an excellent slate of performances across every level.
