Season Opener Success: Gem City Shines at the Crossroad Classic

The Gem City Gymnastics team braved cold weather and officially opened the 2025 competition season at the Crossroad Classic, held December 12–14 in Bloomington, Illinois. This first meet of the season brought strong performances across all levels, with numerous top-10 event finishes and two team awards highlighting a great start to the year.

We’re incredibly proud of the athletes for stepping onto the competition floor with confidence, focus, and teamwork. Here’s a look at how each level performed.

Opening meets are all about setting the tone, and this group did exactly that. From first-time competitors to seasoned athletes, the confidence and progress on display in Bloomington is something to be proud of. Congratulations to all of our gymnasts and coaches on a successful season opener—we can’t wait to see what’s next!
