Level 4 & 5 Gymnasts Cap Strong Season at State Championships

On March 6–7, our Level 4 and Level 5 gymnasts traveled to Waukegan, Illinois, to compete at the 2026 USAG Level 4 & 5 State Championships. The State Championships bring together the top qualifiers from across Illinois, and earning a spot on this stage is a reflection of the work our athletes put in throughout the entire season.

Competing against the best in the state is no small task, and our gymnasts showed the kind of composure and determination that defined their season. Several athletes came away with top-10 finishes on individual events, a strong way to close out a year of steady progress. We’re grateful to all the family and friends who supported our athletes every step of the way. Their encouragement made this season what it was.

Gymnastics team coaches include Jacob Huff, Hope Huff, Sarah Shumake, and Rylee Mellon. You can read more about Gem City’s gymnastics program and find our meet schedule here.
