Gymnasts Cap Season with Top-10 Finishes at Level 7 Regionals
Our gymnastics team traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 18–19 for USAG Level 7 Regionals, the final competition of the season. Three Gem City athletes represented our program on the regional stage, and each one came home with top-10 finishes to close out a season’s worth of hard work.
Competing at regionals is the culmination of months of training, qualifying, and traveling — and our athletes showed the consistency and composure that got them there. Carlie Anders earned a 2nd place finish on uneven bars, the highest individual placement of the weekend for our team. All three gymnasts posted top-10 results across multiple events, a fitting way to wrap up a strong season.
This meet marks the official end of our gymnastics team’s competitive season. After months of meets and travel, we’re looking forward to getting back in the gym and building toward newer, harder skills. A big thank-you to all the parents, carpoolers, supporters, and friends who helped make this season possible — it truly takes a village. Here’s a full recap from Level 7 Regionals.
Gymnastics team coaches include Jacob Huff, Hope Huff, Sarah Shumake, and Rylee Mellon. You can read more about Gem City’s gymnastics program and find our meet schedule here.
