24 Tumblers Compete at USTA Nationals in Madison, Advanced Team Earns National Title
Our tumbling team traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, June 15–19 for the 2026 United States Tumbling & Trampoline (USTA) National Championships. With 115 teams from across the nation represented, this milestone meet capped off a season that began last November and our athletes delivered results that will define this program for years to come.
Our Advanced Team earned the Advanced Team National Championship title. The team is comprised of Morgan Venvertloh, Isla Ufkes, Mae Pittman, Sarah Shumake, Hadley Trowbridge, and Ellisyn Stratman. At Nationals, athletes compete individually but also come together by division as teams to compete for a team title, and this is the first time Gem City has won the Advanced girls team championship. That distinction, earned against the full depth of a national field, reflects the consistency and trust these athletes have built across an entire season of preparation.

We’re also proud to be home to three National Team members: Ellisyn Stratman, Morgan Venvertloh, and Kaylin Vazquez-Epperson. Each athlete earned their spots by trying out in February and solidifying their selection heading into nationals. They took part in a special performance at the championship, representing the best in the sport. Across six divisions, our 24 competing athletes showed the focus, grit, and composure that define this group.

The tumbling team is coached by Zeke Cernea, Anne Nash, Sydney Sherman, Lydia Schrand, and Josey Miller. Read more about the program here.
Congratulations to all 24 of our tumblers on a historic National Championships and a remarkable 2025–2026 season. We’re proud of every one of you.
