August 2026 Newsletter
It’s our 20th anniversary month! We still cannot believe that we have been here for 20 years doing what we love under the name Gem City. It is our honor to be here in this community with you all, and we are beyond blessed to have been a part of so many people’s lives over the past two decades. Thank you for being part of ours!
A few important updates as summer wraps up:
This is the last week of summer session! Our last day of classes is Friday, August 7. The gym will be closed for classes August 8-23. We will still be hosting private parties and Preschool Playtime during our break. Our fall session begins Monday, August 24! We will be returning calls and emails every few days over the break, so feel free to reach out if you still need to enroll. No payment is due until your first day of class (make sure to review our payment policies in your Parent Portal).
A note for QDance families and returning gym families: QDance is officially joining us this fall inside 2010 Jennifer Lane! There will be a few growing pains as we all settle in, and we are asking for your patience. Parking is available in our main lot, along the east side of Jennifer Lane, and in the city lot to the north of our building. The building is well lit and a sidewalk connects all parking areas to our front door. Please also be mindful of personal belongings in the lobby as we now have a full house. QDance will have chairs set up so parents can watch dance classes through the viewing windows. It will take a few weeks for everyone to get into a flow, and we appreciate your patience and understanding!
A few more things to note:
- If you are a returning athlete who is having trouble logging into your Parent Portal, please call our office rather than setting up a new account. Multiple accounts with the same athlete listed creates confusion in our system and makes it difficult to track your account accurately.
- Thank you to everyone who attended a skills clinic this summer! We had 60 athletes come in to work extra on mastering skills, and we can already see the improvement. It was a great summer!
- Adult gymnastics is coming to our fall lineup! We have had two drop-in classes this summer that went very well. We will be announcing all fall session dates at once via social media and in our next newsletter, so stay tuned!

Save the Date: First Pizza Fun Night is September 25
The Pizza Fun Night will be on Friday, September 25, starting at 6:30pm. Open to ages 5 to 13. Members $25, Non-members $30. You must pre-register by Thursday, September 24 for the event by calling or stopping in at the Pro Shop
Good Grades quarterly drawing continues for the 2026-2027 school year!
Even if your school uses trimesters, you are still eligible. This year’s drawing dates are: November 18, January 13, April 7, and June 16.
The Good Grades Quarterly Drawing is a program offered by Gem City Gymnastics & Tumbling to encourage our athletes to work hard in the classroom. For every A or equivalent earned, our athletes have the chance to win free Gem City merch of their choice from the Pro Shop for free! (Gem City merch does not include non-branded products or class tuition.)
Hard work in the classroom is just as important as hard work in the gym, and we are proud to offer this program to our athletes. We hope that it will help them to continue to strive for excellence in both areas.

All active military and veteran families receive a 100% discount on our $55 annual family registration fee. We’re honored to serve those who serve!
Preschool Playtime Continues During Summer
Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to burn energy, build coordination, and explore the gym in a safe, fun space. PP is every Wednesday morning 9:30-11:30 am, ages six and under, only $9 per child. We WILL BE OPEN over our August break, so join us on 8/12 and 8/19!
