All Star Squad Earns Highest Score of Season at Nationals

Gem City’s All Star Squad earned 7th place out of 19 squads in their division at Nationals! Their score of 96.033 out of 100 was their best score all season. They competed with over 500 other teams at the 2019 US Finals-Cheer and Dance National Competition in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

These squad members worked hard this season. They’ve traveled far, had a cancelled competition because of ice, worked through injuries, had to recruit alternates, and showed up ready to work for every Saturday morning practice.

Hope Huff, head coach, said, “Our athletes were driven this season more than any other season before. Almost each week we had stunt groups coming in to work extra on their routines. As coaches, this is something that drives us to be better – seeing our kids wanting it too.”
