All-Star Squads Cap Regular Season in Des Moines with a Championship and Spirit Award

Our all-star cheer squads wrapped up the invitational season at the CSG Des Moines Challenge 2026 in Des Moines, Iowa, on February 28, 2026, and they closed it out in style. The Diamonds earned first place with their highest score of the season, Phoenix brought home third place, and our gym received the Spirit Award — a fitting way to head into nationals.

The Diamonds delivered the kind of performance a squad works toward all season long. Their 93.26 was not only good enough for the top of the podium — it was a season-best score, and their routine hit with zero major deductions. That combination of peak scoring and clean execution at the final invitational of the year speaks to the focus and preparation this squad has put in week after week. When everything lines up like that at the right moment, it’s no accident.

Phoenix competed with composure and earned third place with a 93.4, adding another solid outing to a consistent season. And then there’s the Spirit Award — a recognition that goes beyond what happens on the mat. Our parents, families, and cheering section have been showing up all season with energy and sportsmanship that other programs notice. It says something about the culture of our gym family when we’re recognized not just for how our athletes perform but for how our community supports them.

With the invitational season behind us, both squads now turn their attention to what’s next: nationals in Louisville. The work these athletes have done all year has prepared them for this stage, and we’re looking forward to seeing them compete on the biggest floor of the season.
