April 2026 Newsletter
April is one of our busiest months here at the gym! With our cheer squads heading to Nationals, our Level 7 gymnasts competing at Regionals, and our tumbling team preparing for State, it’s an exciting time across all of our programs.
We also have a few important dates to keep in mind:
- In-class evaluations: Week of April 13
- Last day of spring session: Saturday, May 16
- Summer enrollment opens: Monday, April 20
- Enroll in person or over the phone
- No tuition is due until your first day of class

We have also made important updates to our payment policies. All families need to log into their Parent Portal to review and agree to the updated policies. These must be marked as read in order to enroll in the summer session. Here are the biggest updates:
- We have replaced the 15% late fee with a flat $35 late fee for recreational classes and private lessons
- We will now initiate the card on file up to five times per year if payment is not made by the listed due dates
- Each initiated payment will include the $35 late fee
- No late fee is applied if you make your payment yourself before the due date

NEXT DRAWING
Our 3rd Quarter Good Grades Drawing is TOMORROW (April 8). Good luck to all participants!
Prep to tryouts at our cheer clinics!
We’re running three pre-tryout clinics on April 18, April 25, and May 2. Each one runs from 8:30–10:30 a.m. Cost is $25 per clinic, pre-registration is required, and they’re open to members and non-members ages 6–18. Coaches will walk athletes through basic stunts, jumps, and tumbling, and give a real look at how all-star cheer works. If you’re planning to tryout, attending all three gives you the best shot at being prepared.
20 Years of Gem City
We’ve added a new anniversary sign in our front yard to celebrate 20 amazing years!
We’d love to see our athletes take a picture with it. Be sure to tag your photo and tag us on social media!

All classes listed will be at their GEM Studio at 2010 Jennifer Lane.
GCGT 20th Anniversary Leotard Available
Call the gym or stop into the Pro Shop to order your commemorative leotard celebrating Gem City’s 20 years of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer!
Take a FREE dance class on April 23
Experience the QDance at the Gem Campus with a free class on Thursday, April 23. From 5:30 to 6:15 pm, a class for ages 3-5 will take place with another class happening right after at 6:30 to 7:15pm for ages 6-9.

Military Discount Reminder
All active military and veteran families receive a 100% discount on our $55 annual family registration fee. We’re honored to serve those who serve!
Preschool Playtime Continues During Next Break
During our May break (closed May 17-31) we WILL be still hosting Preschool Playtime on Wednesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 27.
Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to burn energy, build coordination, and explore the gym in a safe, fun space. PP is every Wednesday morning 9:30-11:30am, ages six and under, only $9 per child.
