What a season it’s been— and what a story to tell! After an incredible showing at the 2025 US Finals in Myrtle Beach on April 5, our Senior Elite Level 2 squad was originally announced as silver medalists. But as we recently found out: that wasn’t the end of the story.
The gym is closed for classes May 18-28, 2025. We will still be hosting Preschool Playtime (each Wednesday morning) and private parties/groups during this time.
May is here! As we wind down to the end of our spring session, we have a few things to share.
Gem City Tumblers delivered an outstanding performance with 34 athletes competing at the 2025 Southern Illinois USTA State Championships held April 27 in Decatur, IL.
Our youth all-star squad, the Gem City Diamonds, competed at the US FINALS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in Des Moines, Iowa on April 12, securing an impressive 5th Place finish! The team not only achieved HIT ZERO deductions but also earned their HIGHEST SCORE OF THE SEASON.
As another school year draws to a close, we’re celebrating Gem City’s graduating seniors from our team programs who have been an important part of the Gem City family— Sierra Bergman and Ruby Akerson.
UPDATE: Our 2024-2025 Senior Elite Level 2 Squad are indeed the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS at the 2025 US Finals!
On April 6th, Gem City Tumblers delivered outstanding performances during their final regular season competition in Pana, Illinois. It showcased all their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
Congrats to Morgan Venvertloh, our third winner of the 2024-2025 Good Grades Quarterly Drawings! Morgan is on Gem City’s tumbling team and is 11 years old.
Congratulations to our two incredible Level 7 gymnasts, Carlie Anders and Lindyn Lair, for their outstanding performances at the 2025 USAG Illinois State Championships in Dekalb on March 29! Competing at this level requires dedication, resilience, and countless hours of training, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress they’ve made this season.

Congratulations to our 14 Level 3 gymnasts who competed at the 2025 USAG Illinois State Championships in Waukegan on March 21-23! We are so proud of their dedication, perseverance, and the incredible progress they have shown throughout the season. Competing at the state level is no small feat, and our athletes represented Gem City with pride and determination.
