Bloomington, Illinois- We are very proud of this group of athletes! Gem City is especially excited by Lucy Biggs, Level 3, sweep of State! She earned FIRST on every event and the all-around!! It’s a first in Gem City history.
Two of Gem City’s Level 7 gymnasts had a great meet season by qualifying to advance to the USAG Illinois State Championships. The meet will be hosted by Ultimate Gymnastics on March 24-26 in Libertyville, Illinois.
March means one thing at Gem City— the start of State Championships!
Gem City’s Level 4 & Level 5 State qualifiers traveled to Bourbonnais, Illinois for State on March 10-12! We are very proud of this group of young ladies. 👏
Gem City’s Level 3 & 9 gymnasts had a great meet season with 11 athletes qualifying to advance to the USAG Illinois State Championships. The meet will be hosted by Gymnastics, Etc. on March 17-19 in Bloomington, Illinois.
Eighteen of Gem City’s team members competed at the Camelot Classic in Belleville, IL and eight of those 18 athletes finished in 1st place in their divisions. Thirteen of those 18 finished top three in their divisions.
The Gem City Phoenix (senior squad) brought home a win while the Gem City Diamonds (junior squad) earned the squad’s highest score ever! They competed in Athletic Championship Nationals, a two-day meet in Kansas City.
Gem City’s Level 4 & 5 gymnasts had a great meet season with 13 athletes qualifying to advance to the USAG Illinois State Championships. The meet will be hosted by Aspire Gymnastics on March 10-12 in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
All Star cheer tryouts for Gem City’s 2023-2024 season will take place on Saturday, May 13 for Gem City’s junior and senior squads. The tryouts is available for all skill levels and ages 7 to 18.
The St. Louis Classic was the final invitational of the gymnastics season on February 24-26, 2023. We’re so proud of our team and their performances. Now on to many State meets over the next month!
